INVOLVED SMEs

IMAST research activities trigger at local and national level integration and emulation processes favouring the diffusion of innovation and catalysing and attracting skills and experiences.
IMAST pays particular attention to technology transfer processes for small and medium-sized enterprises. It has also defined a methodology of approach and involvement in order to foster interaction and integration between the networks of scientific excellence and the Campania production sectors, starting from a sample survey conducted on 70 companies in the target production chains. A summary of the fieldwork and re-elaboration is contained in the volume "Technological districts and processes for the transfer of knowledge to SMEs - The IMAST case", by Francesco Izzo, Eva Milella, published by McGraw Hill (2009).
There are 85 small and medium-sized enterprises involved over time in the district's research projects.
